OITNB: I threw my pie for you Embroidery

Have you watched season one of Orange is the New Black yet? I did…in about three days when it came out last year! I’m excited for the premiere of Season 2 on Monday, June 2, 2014, but I don’t think I’ll binge watch it like I did last season. OITNB is so well written, and the actors are so realistic as their characters, that by watching episodes back to back over the course of a few days, my emotions were in turmoil! Maybe I’ll space season two out over a couple of weeks…oh, who am I kidding?! I’ll probably binge watch it again.

I’m excited to participate in my first Blog Hop! I had been confused by them in the past, but Jennifer of Hydrangea Hippo and Jade of Jaderbomb have made it so easy. We were asked to created some kind of crafty/artistic project that’s inspired by Orange is the New Black, a Netflix original. Here’s what I made for the Season 2 premiere of Orange is the New Black, as inspired by the show.

In the scene with this quote, Piper (the main character) is trying to make it clear to Crazy Eyes that she is not her wife. Crazy Eyes responds, “I threw my pie for you.” And what she means by this is that she made a huge sacrifice for Piper by throwing her pie, so obviously what Crazy Eyes gets in return is Piper as her prison wife. I couldn’t find an official Netflix clip of this scene to embed here, and being the Librarian I am, I require an original source for embedding.
