Path of the Moon

So, I'm sure you've heard me mention my friend Charlie King before. I play music with him often and he is just plain wonderful. If you haven't heard his music before, I'm sorry. You need to change that right now and go listen...actually no need to listen before you buy. His new record is top-notch! I know you won't be disappointed. I am IN LOVE with this record and I don't often say that about records with my own voice all over it. But this one...I just love these songs and I'm so happy and proud with the way they are captured on this record.

I have the privilege of playing a lot with Charlie and getting to be a part of his music - which brings me much joy and pride. I've only know him for a few years now but I've watched him grow into quite the songwriter as well as a great editor of his songs. I'm proud to have my name listed in the liner notes of this one and proud to be a part of the making of this record. It was done in one weekend and pretty much entirely live. Charlie and I were in one room together and we tracked both our vocals and his acoustic at the same time. The rest of the band was in another room and they did the same. I have never done this before and I was beyond nervous but it ended up being a very magical experience and I think Patrick (the producer and co-owner of Sioux Sioux Studio) did a wonderful job capturing the magic of that weekend.

Here are some pics from the weekend. Also - you can watch some short clips from the weekend HERE, HERE, & HERE.
