Hey dolls! I was at such a loss when I saw the Twinsie Tuesday theme for this week. When I initially saw the word “classic”, I thought about wearing a really old and popular polish. Then I thought about classic forms of nail art and there’s nothing more classic than a french tip. Now I’ve been polishing my own nails multiple times per week since middle school. Can you believe I’ve never had a french tip mani?!? They are just a little too boring to me when there are so many amazing colors and other forms of nail art.
Even for this classic theme, I couldn’t force myself to do a plain french tip. I’ve never done a funky french tip mani, so I thought this would be the perfect occasion. In keeping with the classic theme, I decided to go with a nude and pink combo, which are quintessential classic colors. Additionally, these shades are from the Cult Nails A Day at the Races collection, which was their second release back in 2011. In terms of nail polish, most people would consider that classic. I’ve worn both Cult Nails Cruisin’ Nude and Cult Nails Devious Nature separately some time ago, but I never realized how much of a perfect pair they are. Devious Nature was actually my first Cult purchase and I’ve been in love with the brand ever since.
The pink shimmer in Cruisin’ Nude is so gorgeous! This look is simple and so chic. It reminds me of a color blocked clutch that I have similar to the one below. I need to practice getting the tips even on each nail, but let’s be for real, I doubt I’ll try this again any time soon. Be sure to check out how the other Twinsies interpreted this theme down below.
