subtle touch of burgundy (Seams for a desire)

This Sunday my parents came back to Spain and so we went to have lunch by way of farewell in their favorite spot in Palermo Soho. My father said that he has to say “goodbye” the great meat that Argentines have, hehe ;) I have to admit that, before we come, I didn’t hear about anything but grill and mate, so I didn’t expect anything else. Of course, I was totally wrong and if there’s something we are doing since we arrive is eating :) Seriously, if we think that we eat so cheap and good in Spain (which is actually true, specially if we compare the quality and the price with other countries like France, UK, Germany…), here is even cheaper, the food tastes as good and the portions are so generous! I didn’t know about their Italian food and the thing they have with pastries, I think it’s even easier to find coffee shops and patisseries here than in Paris! Anyway, I will tell you more about the city :)

Regarding to my outfit, it was the moment to get dressed just a little bit, something that is not happening since we arrive here. The only plan on the list was to have lunch and to walk around, so I took the opportunity to wear heels and go for a more chic look. I confess that this is one of that few times that I wear something “just because” I wanted! I mean, it was a hot day (not the hottest) and while I was getting ready, this outfit came up… I couldn’t say “no” to the blazer even though I just wore it over the shoulders! I’m not used to do this kind of silly things but I guess we can indulge ourselves from time to time :P I love the whole outfit and the combination of colors as well. I promise that it’s not an over-thinking outfit, it came all by itself!

Este domingo pasado se fueron mis padres y el viernes volvimos al restaurante al que les habíamos llevado en Palermo Soho a modo de despedida. Mi padre decía que tenía que despedirse de los bifes como dios manda, jeje ;) Tengo que reconocer que, antes de venir a Argentina, no había oído hablar de otra cosa que no fuese el asado o el mate, así que no esperaba mucho más a parte de eso. Y sin embargo, si algo hemos hecho desde que llegamos a Buenos Aires ha sido comer :) En serio, si en España nos parece barato comer (y realmente lo es si lo comparamos con países vecinos como Francia, Reino Unido, Alemania…), aquí es todavía más barato, platos abundantes y todo riquísimo! No tenía ni idea de la tradición culinaria italiana que había aquí así como la cantidad de pasteleria y cafés que hay por toda la ciudad y en cada rincón que cruces… De todos modos, ya os contaré más sobre Buenos Aires :)

En cuanto a mi look, era un día en el que podía aprovechar para arreglarme, cosa que he hecho más bien poco desde que vivimos aquí. Como el único plan era salir a comer y luego dar una vuelta por Palermo y las tiendas, aproveché para ponerme tacones y un look un poco más chic. Lo admito, esta debe de ser de las pocas veces que me he puesto una chaqueta “porque sí” y aunque hacía calor, la llevé todo el día por encima de los hombros porque me gustaba cómo quedaba! No acostumbro a hacer este tipo de “tonterías” pero tenía ganas de un look muy yo y supongo que de vez en cuando nos podemos permitir hacer un poco el tonto :P Me encanta el look que resultó y la combinación de colores y prometo que no lo pensé, esta vez surgió sólo!
