Milan Fashion Week Spring 2015 Part 2

Well Milan was nothing to write home about. I am looking forward to some beautiful things from Paris.

I love…

that Roberto Cavalli has essentially replaced Versace as the brand that can do the whole sexy, over embellished thing well.

that Jil Sander is back to doing simple and classic. Although I would’t pay well into the four digits for this outfit.

Jil Sander’s tied skirt.

big, printed, floor length Pucci gowns. I’d like to swan around in one of these.

knots and straps and contrast at Marni.

Marni’s way with placement print and colours that could be ugly (but aren’t.)

Salvatore Ferragamo’s (most likely printed) snakeskin dress. But the rest of the collection made me want to take a nap.

when stripes and prints work well together. This is from Dolce & Gabbana.

I loathe…

lots of not-so-nice suits at Giorgio Armani. We get it – you make suits. Do we need to see 60 of them on the catwalk?

those contrasting buttons and mandarin collars. Why does Armani always do them?

that Bottega Veneta was nothing special.

that Aquilano.Rimondi looks cheap and like they tried too hard.

hippies at Emilio Pucci. Really?

matador hot pant shorts suits. No thank you, Dolce & Gabbana.

when Dolce & Gabbana forgot we aren’t at a Madonna concert, 25 years ago.
