Bucket Bag

It’s around this time of year where I start to pull out my most spring items in anticipation of warmer temps ahead. Because spring is pretty much non existent in Chicago {don’t blink or you might miss it!}, I rely on nautical colors, fresh prints, a trench coat, white denim, and a great leather bag to reflect that refreshing mood that comes with spring. There is something about a clean palette that makes me excited to say goodbye to the grey colors of winter. For me, that starts with a new bag in a fresh off white to add some brightness to my looks.

In the past few months I’ve become obsessed with the bucket bag. The shape has a 70′s boho vibe that takes my more classic items to a different level and is the perfect size to lug around everything I need for the day. Lands’ End’s newest collection is the epitome of nautical perfection and I love that this bag makes a statement amongst my staples. We shot this look at one of my favorite lunch/brunch spots in Bucktown – Milk & Honey. Their gouda avocado sandwich is my fave and I love warming up next to their fire with a hot up of tea. My bucket bag carried all of my essentials for a couple of hours of conversation and work and looks equally as cute for date night.
