Me Made May update

I’ve been enjoying participating in Me Made May this year. It’s helped me to be more conscious about wearing and styling my handmade wardrobe and also helped in getting a little more dressed up on a daily basis. There were a few days I just stayed in my gym clothes all day, but most days I did wear something hand made, and I did have a repeats. Here are a few of the outfits I documented:

In a dress I made from a 1940's pattern and vintage fabric &vintage boots.

Simplicity Amazing fit trouser pattern made with stretch floral sateen from Mood and a thrifted Land’s End striped Breton. Thrifted shoes. Coach bag.

Self drafted woven tee shirt made of Liberty of London cotton and Lucky Brand jeans.

A t shirt with pleated sleeves sewn from a Lekala pattern and some mesh print from Micheal Levine. Havaina flip flops.

Valencia Tunic top from Willow & co and Land’s End shorts.

In my jacket made from a Japanese Pattern book. I can’t remember which one! Sewn in Robert Kaufman chambray. Land’s End jeans and Tory Burch sandals.

In my dress sewn from a McCall’s pattern and ponte knit from the FIDM store.

I blogged about this top a couple of weeks ago. New Look 6375. I just finished some shorts in the same blue embroidered cotton.

A dress I made from tracing another one. Then I used my Indian stamps and dip dyed it. I probably should sew more basics. Or jeans. But I already have too many jeans, and I like the ones I have. So when they wear out someday, I may make some. but until then I’m about sewing fun stuff.
