I made these bags for my kids for Valentine’s Day last month, and I didn’t get a chance to photograph them until now since they started using them right away! We got to visit my grandma every week and they like to take along books and games, so the bags worked out perfectly. I used my Tudor Bag pattern for both bags.
This first bag was made with Dr. Who fabric that I printed on Spoonflower with their Eco Canvas. The fabric design is by Courtney. We love Dr. Who, and Matt Smith is our favorite (I totally love Amy Pond), and I paired the Spoonflower fabric with a basic from Cotton Steel.
For my daughter, I made her bag using a cat face panel print that I found at Pink Castle Fabrics (not sure if it’s still available). The print was huge, and so I had to modify the straps on the bag a bit so that they didn’t cover the cat’s face. The back of the bag is the cat face with eyes closed, sleeping. So cute!
It was a lot of fun making the bags, and I’ve noticed a few other Tudor Bags popping up on the internet lately, so wanted to share a few with you!
Have you made one of my bag patterns?? I’d love to add it to my Pinterest (I have a board dedicated to people who have made a bag with my pattern), it’s lovely to look through the Sew Sweetness Bag board! If you’ve made a bag, would you please leave me the link in the comments so that I can pin it to my board? Please and thank you!!!
