Eats: Boba, Burgers, & Sweets

After some business travel and busy work days, I relished in spending time with my babies and trying new eateries. We woke up to lazy mornings cuddling the kiddos, watched Frozen for what seems like the millionth time, went out to eat, hung out w/ the extended family, and went out to eat some more (as you probably surmised from my Instagram feed). :)

Iced Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea and Coffee at 85C Bakery in San Jose made me want to start salting all my sweets

Enjoyed some latte art at Cafe Lattea in Cupertino and quickly deformed the bear by sipping the delicious Honey Chocolate Latte (SOOO good)

Tried an elaborate Pineapple Paradise Tea Jar w/ fresh fruit bits (pineapple, kiwi, and jackfruit) at Bobo Drinks in San Jose

Was wowed by the Brick Toast dessert at Cafe Venus in San Jose. They told us it would take 20 minutes to prep and now we can see why.
The next day we checked out Umami Burger in Palo Alto (ahem, Elle and Christine - this may be up your alley):

Truffle Burger - truffled aioli, house truffle cheese, truffle glaze - my husband ordered medium and it was quite red in the middle (which he loved), but it made me glad I ordered well done

Manly Burger - beer-cheddar, bacon lardons, smoked-salt onion strings, Umami house ketchup, mustard spread

Smothered Fries - smothered with gravy and braised short rib

Cheesy Tater Tots (on the secret menu) - this was my favorite part of the meal
All in all, I appreciated the novelty, but I still haven't found THE burger place out here yet.
