i’m still hunting for my forever home, but wow does it ever get a tad bit discouraging. seems even in los angeles, the real estate market is expensive (although not as expensive as san francisco!) and it’s very competitive. i’m trying to remain optimistic, but i’m going to take a break this weekend, to clear my head and try to appreciate the lovely home that i do have (even if it’s just a rental). but as i hunt, the one thing i am hoping my dream house will have, is a guest room for out of town friends. i love the idea of creating a pretty sanctuary for overnight guests — a cozy bed with lovely linens, throws, candles, sweet smelling toiletries and of course, fresh flowers. no matter where i end up living, there will always be friends from far and near i have to leave behind, so even if it’s just a tiny nook i carve out, i’d love to have a space where friends feel welcome. here’s a few cosy spots i love.
