spotted: jessie black.

it’s leslie from spotted sf and today i’m taking you inside the softest and most sumptuous shop in all of san francisco. and by that, i mean plenty of cashmere and other lovely, luxurious textures. this is jessie black—the boutique name and the proprietress—and you’ll find this gem in the city’s presidio heights neighborhood along sacramento street.

the style aesthetic at jessie black is “less is more.” it is about selecting just a few lavish items for your home that are simple, natural, comfortable, and will continue to be loved and cherished over time. when you walk into the shop, you are invited to touch, try on and wrap yourself in all these beautiful materials. things are laid out so you can fully experience their quality and softness. she even has a cashmere line with infused micro capsules that releases fresh lavender and eucalyptus scents when you rub the material. be sure to experience this when you visit…it’s heavenly.

originally from sydney, jessie has lived and worked in paris, london, new york and monte carlo before moving to san francisco. her style and collection is inspired by all these beautiful and vibrant places, as well her continuous travels around the world. pieces are sourced from everywhere—linens from tuscany, macramé hammocks from columbia, and later this summer she’s off to paris to do more treasure hunting.

in addition to her own line collaborations with other local and international designers, you’ll also find a collection of antique and vintage pieces mixed in. jessie just celebrated the one year anniversary of her shop and has recently added interior design and home styling to her services. her fluffy pup (and head of customer relations), max, is at the shop each day and he will most likely be the first to greet you.
