BBW Couture Blue Polka Dot 1950s Vintage Party Dress
Finally getting my hands on some vintage styled dresses is beyond exciting and I cannot wait to glam it up all Summer long, whilst floating around in these BBW Couture numbers! Incase you missed my first review of this new brands, go back and check out the beautiful Rose Vine 1950s Vintage Party Dress, it definitely made an impression on everyone and shouldn't be missed! Next up I have the absolute pleasure of reviewing the even more beautiful Blue Polka Dot 1950s Vintage Party Dress at £27.99....
BBW Couture is a new plus size clothing site that wants to provide high quality clothes at affordable prices, exactly what we all want! This is my second favourite of the 3 dresses I have as it's simply beautiful. Everyone knows by now that I am definitely a blue girl. I did have to size up due to no stock in a 20, so I did have to pin it around my bust and get Alfie to tie me in very tight to hide the excess material. These dresses are very true to size and rather low cut, so adjusting and pinning is definitely needed to ensure you get the perfect fit and don't pop an unwanted nipple out.
Just like the Rose Vine dress, this is also 100% cotton and very light weight, but I feel that it hangs a lot better than the rose dress as it doesn't crease as much. This dress is also lined which is probably the reason why it hangs so well and it would work perfect with a petitcoat, I don't actually own one, it's just the perks of wide hips giving it a little puff. Due to it being a little too big for me, we did accidentally pin a tiny bit of the length in my waist, so if you are over 5'3, do not worry! It'll probably still come to around your knee for that vintage feel.
The vintage dresses at BBW Couture are so popular that they are selling out incredibly fast, so much so that this dress is now only available in an 16, 18 and 24. I promise I haven't taken too long to blog about it at all, they're just so affordable and beautiful that everyone wants a piece! BBW Couture are even stocking different styles now due to demand and they are utterly beautiful! I didn't really style mine much due to being away from home when I took these photos, so you can only imagine what it would look like with the full vintage works!
Once again, a big thank you to Alfie for taking the photos!
