BBW Couture Plus Size Navy Blue Swallow Floral 1950s Vintage Party Dress

I love that moment when you spot a dress that you've always wanted and just know that it belongs with you. That's the exact feeling I had when I saw the Navy Blue Swallow Floral 1950s Vintage Party Dress. Not only is it blue, vintage, an amazing length, and the perfect fit, but it has amazing boob coverage. It's definitely the best dress BBW Couture have brought out in their vintage range so far. As the face of the range and after trying all of the dresses, I am sticking by this statement until they bring out something even better!

Most of you will know that I don't usually go for the full on vintage look with my clothing, sure with Scarlett & Jo I touch on a modern version and have been told I have quite a pin up look, but this dress for me was the next level. I've always seen this style around and wanted to try it and now I am so glad that I've had that chance. I can't recommend this dress enough to anyone who wants to create that real vintage feel.

So, you're probably wondering why such a glowing review? Well, to start the sizing is a tiny bit more generous on the boobs on this one, meaning you don't have to squeeze one boob in at a time to achieve that perfect fit. That doesn't mean that it is baggier on the waist at all though, just simply more room for boobs whilst keeping a tight and fitted, vintage style waist. The extra room also includes the pretty boob coverage, I don't know the correct terminology for it, but basically it's different to the other dresses, as it's a little higher and no alterations are needed at all as it doesn't show your bra or nipples for a welcomed change.
The print is absolutely gorgeous and a lot of people have had their eyes on it pretty much straight away because of the swallows alone, but after trying the dress on and photographing it, I actually couldn't take it off and ended up spontaneously going to meet Alfie to show off my pretty new dress. The dark blue colour makes it super easy to dress up or down and I added a black cardigan and leggings, as it was chilly for a change and dressed it down a little. It's a super comfortable dress and I felt amazing in it.

As always in my clothing reviews, I do mention that I am 5'3 which means these dresses are perfect for someone my height and around it, either taller or shorter. I'm also wearing a size 20 and in this dress I find that it is a seriously spot on sizing. This is now only available in a size 16-22 and it's selling out fast at just £29.99! BBW Couture dresses are always affordable and under £30 but this one could easily be priced more.
