Summer Fun with new products from Roseart

By now most schools are out for summer vacation. Some schools, like the one on kids attend, are almost done. They are just finishing up final exams.

It doesn’t matter how old your child is – at one point or another you are going to hear those words many parents dread – “I’m bored. What can we do?” My kids JUST finished school and I’m already hearing those dreaded words.

Now that my kids are older they can usually find something to do to entertain themselves. Most of the time it involves me driving them places (got to love teens).

I wish my kids were younger because they could take advantage of all the fun and wonderful new toys, games and products that today’s youth gets to enjoy. Take for example the new products from RoseArt.

When I was a young girl I used to LOVE to color in the road with chalk. We also had at one time a concrete back porch which I also enjoyed doodling on in chalk.

I used to color with chalk on the side walk in front of our condo when my kids were younger too.

One time a grumpy old man that lived in our courtyard complained about my kids artwork (chalk) on the side walk, referring to it as “graffiti.” Seriously? It was done by little children and it washes off. Sheesh! Some people.

From that point on my kids and I would draw with chalk in the parking lot at the elementary school. I wish we had a driveway we could enjoy the side walk chalk on.

Sidewalk chalk has come a long way thanks to RoseArt. They recently introduced some of the coolest products I have seen in a long time.

Washable Sidewalk Chalk Paint

Washable Sidewalk Chalk Paint – Where any sidewalk becomes your own blank canvas! Take your creativity outdoors – and take it to whole new levels.

  • Includes 2 fun colors and 2 foam brushes. Use them individually or mix them together.
  • Mix water with powder and create paint that easily washes away with water.
  • This product is certified non-toxic.

Shake N’ Roll Chalk Paint Rollers

With Shake N’ Roll Chalk Paint Rollers, you can get on a creative roll with ease. Just add water, shake, roll and create giant-sized art that is 100 times more fun than regular sidewalk chalk.

  • Includes 3 Shake N’ Roll Chalk Paint rollers in red, teal and orange.
  • Easy to use. Simply add water, shake and you are ready to paint.
  • Washable Sidewalk Chalk Paint easily washes away with water.
  • This product is certified non-toxic.

Jumbo Paint Markers

Coloring is fun, but turning a sidewalk into your own painter’s canvas is awesome. And now with RoseArt’s Jumbo Chalk Pain Markers, you can have all the joy of sidewalk chalk with the ease of a marker.

  • Includes four jumbo Chalk Paint Markers in blue, green, yellow and red.
  • Jumbo Markers feature durable paint tips for outdoor use. Simply add water, shake and paint.
  • Washable Sidewalk Paint washes away with water.
  • This product is certified non-toxic.

All of these products are available at Walmart for $3.99 – $4.97. Because they are budget friendly (I would have thought the would cost a lot more) you could stock up on these to enjoy all summer long. These would make great gifts too! Plus teachers could use them to decorate their chalkboards in the classroom, and restaurants could use them to decorate their chalkboard menus.

If only these products were available when I was a kid!

I can remember from my childhood, as well as when my kids were little, how laborious it could be to create a whole scene in chalk sticks. Not only did they get worn down to a nub in no time but they often broke as you were using them and sometimes I would scratch my skin on the concrete as I was coloring in with the chalk.

Now RoseArt offers a “liquid” chalk paint which makes painting big areas so much easier. Instead of scribbling back and forth to color something in with a piece of chalk you can simply paint it in. With the Sidewalk Chalk Paint you can cover more area fully too (no uncolored spots).

I also love the markers. They will make drawing so much easier because it’s like drawing with a marker.

I think these products are less messy than traditional chalk too. With traditional chalk it gets all over your clothes and hands. Not to mention it can be dusty. With the Chalk Paint you have more control of the chalk and you don’t have to get it all over your hands/fingers.

RoseArt sent me these products to try out for myself. My kids felt embarrassed doing it outside of our condo so I had planned on taking them with me to a family party a few weeks ago but I had left them at home by accident. I have younger cousins who would have no problem enjoying these fun products and allowing me to take photos of their masterpieces.

We are hoping to get together with our extended family again for the Forth of July. If we do I’ll be sure to update this post with pictures of the new RoseArt products in action.

I wish I didn’t care about what my neighbors would think because I truly would love to play with them on the sidewalk in front of our condo. I’m guessing seeing a forth-something year old women doodling on the sidewalk might give them cause for concern. Ha Ha.

What do you think of these new products? Which one of the three products mentioned above is your favorite?

Would you love to try them out for yourself? Would your child/grandchild enjoy something like this?
