2014 Victoria Vintage Expo: What A Blast!
The long awaited 2014 Victoria Vintage Expo has come and gone with a bang!
With vendor booths sold out and an eager crowd lining up at the doors, the Expo got started off in full swing. Vintage goodness was overflowing, and customers were ready to shop. The entertainment over this 2-day event was stellar, and the vintage attire donned by vendors and customers alike was way too much fun!
In a venue like this it’s hard to really capture the presentation of each booth, because visually there is just so much going on all around you. I promised to share pics of Audrey Would!’s little pop-up boutique and did my best to freeze-frame a few sparkly moments in spite of the visual goodness at every corner and turn.
This is my set-up, and honestly, I did iron the table cloths before-hand. Eegads!
If you play a little I-spy you might recognize some of the display props from previous posts… like my vintage suitcase, the crates made from pallets and the newest addition of the little retro table.

Ooo-la-la, the sparkle of gold and the Culver ‘Valencia’ ferris wheel cocktail caddy which has found its way to a new Los Angeles home!
Lots more barware, stemware, sparkle and charm with many of these pieces now settling into their new homes.
The silver pieces brought many questions about cleaning, and one kind lady shared that she used to clean silver many years ago with Polishing Wadding. I haven’t heard of that, have you? Do you know where it can be found??
The China Ritz set is another of my favourites, and it too, has found a new home. #Happy sigh.
Steak knives with Bakelite handles were also a conversation hit. A few gentlemen shared stories back and forth from when they remember using them ‘back when…’
I also promised to show you how the little retro table got integrated into the set-up. Here it is set on top of a lower row of tables. I did this to create an elevated surface allowing for more pieces to go on display.
And just for fun I decided to show you a few of the pieces in this section that sold. I think this little table was a stroke of good luck and meant to be!
For Audrey Would! this was a very successful event. It was so nice to see familiar faces from last year, and to meet new ones this year. I would like to thank everyone who stopped by the booth - your support is genuinely appreciated.
