Best of Office Weekly Roundup: Most Expensive Desks

It’s no secret that the lifestyles of the rich and famous are envied by the have-nots, and even the toys of the wealthy are extravagant and often outlandish. So what happens when you take the 1% and give them an office to design? In this week’s roundup, we’ll be looking at some of the most luxurious desks ever conceived by the most creative minds.

No “nickel and dime” philosophy at this company

The most expensive executive desk in the world is held by a company called Parnian Furniture, who designed the desk exclusively for their showroom in Arizona. Parnian is known for making luxury furniture that starts at $6,000 and rapidly goes up from there. This particular desk pictured is made out of 6 different types of exotic wood and retails for a whopping $200,000!

Even the receptionist gets to live the high life for a few hours a day

This over-the-top receptionist desk, manufactured by DMG Design SF, is made out of Russian Birch/Walnut and stainless steel. At $45,000, we wonder if this desk costs more than the annual salary of the receptionist who will be stationed there.

The need for faux speed

Are you a huge fan of Lamborghini’s super sports cars? Do you work in an office? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this $12,000 desk inspired by the Italian motorsports company’s sleek cars may just be for you. Bonus points if you drive to work in a Lamborghini in the same color as your desk.

Even more faux speed

Lamborghinis are nice, but you know what even cooler? A Bugatti! This desk was inspired by the industrial design of these million-dollar cars and took 3,000 hours to design and build and features a built-in computer. Final cost? $240,000. Kudos to the person who owns this desk and drives an actual Bugatti; coordination at this level isn’t cheap.

Pricy, but attainable

While we here at Shoplet don’t carry desks that cost more than your house’s down payment, we do have a large selection of quality desks like this folding table that can hold up to 1,500 lbs. of anything you can think of, and that’s pretty impressive by any measure.

Get work done faster than the speed of sound

This one-of-a-kind desk by Motoart was designed around an actual wing from an actual B-52 bomber that would’ve made Maverick proud. There is no listed price for the desk, but we do know that the cost to build one B-52 bomber is between $9 million and $53.4 million, and we doubt that the manufacturer decided to cut costs on the wings.

I’m so fancy. You already know.

This table was built entirely by hand by Thomas Tufft in the 18th century and features intricate details throughout down to the ball-and-claw feet. It was eventually sold to a Philadelphia-based architect for an astronomical $4.6 million.

Carved by titans, we think

This very modern desk is manufactured by Lamberti Décor and designed by Armando Andreoli. We might not know how exactly you can make a desk look like it was made out of a single piece of steel (or maybe glass?), but we do know the sticker price while you try and figure it out: $12,150.

The wealthy buy furniture, clothes, jewelry, and anything else you can think of that matches their bank account statements, and desks are no exception. Have you seen any desks that cost more than any you saw on this list? Let us know in the comments.
