j.crew reviews: bar-stripe tee, vachetta pave belt, new floral sweatshirt, scalloped dress.

Hi everyone,

I stopped into my local J.Crew finally, and was able to try a few things on, mainly sale, but a few newer. They continue to offer the 30% off everything , are now offering 30% off regular price and 40% off sale! In store, they had done a ton of new markdowns in sale. I found that prices in store were much better than online.

First, the new silver colorway of the Bar-Stripe Tee, which I've raved about before. This is a medium (I like to size up in my tees for more length and slouch). So I'd say it's TTS like the previous versions. Love it!

The Vachetta Pave Belt has been on my radar, as I need a lighter-toned belt in my wardrobe, and would like something a bit substantial. The pave crystals are not super bling-y, just a bit of sparkle in the right light. I personally needed a size medium to wear on my jeans (which sit around my hips). I don't buy a lot of belts, so I'm not sure I can advise if this is TTS or not. The online copy says it's sized to fit at the hips. Online it's priced at $29.99 before discount, but in store it was only $14.99! Sold!

There was a new sweatshirt with a floral print. I didn't catch the item number. The sleeves were a bracelet or 3/4-length, and they showed it rolled up. I grabbed a medium instead of a small accidentally, and it was too big, so I'd say TTS. I really liked the wider neckline on this one, was flattering. Not sure about the sleeve length. Body length was too short, and I'm sure the small would have been even shorter.

Finally, a sale steal that I posted about on JCA and on Instagram, was the Scalloped Dress in the bright royal blue. It was marked down to $39.99 before discount, netting $28. I didn't feel like the armholes in this iteration were crazy low. They were not tight, but they were not showing my bra. It is short, however, so for me it's a date night / party dress for sure. I tried on a size 4 (normal) and a size 6, and felt it ran TTS. Alas, I accidentally deleted the picture of my normal size 4, so this is the slightly-too-big 6:
