Anti-Aging Cream // Clean Living

I heard recently that the moment you should start taking care of your skin to prevent aging is the moment you're born. That idea had never crossed my mind, but it makes perfect sense. The moment you're born you begin aging. I think it's easy to not take our skin's youthfulness into consideration until we begin to start seeing signs of aging, but why not focus on taking care of your skin now! The sooner you can pinpoint areas in your life that cause stress and aging to your skin (diet, sleeping patterns, sun exposure, etc.), you can begin to change your habits and lifestyle to take of your skin the best way possible. I've also been researching into anti-aging creams, and I'm kicking myself for not using them sooner. This organic recipe has so many ingredients that each hold multiple benefits such as skin rejuvenation, wrinkle prevention, and can be used as a moisturizer as well. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tbsp jojoba oil
2 tbsp shea butter
2 tbsp beeswax
1 tsp vitamin E oil
10 drops essential oil (optional)

Begin by adding all the ingredients to a small glass bowl minus the essential oil. Fill a pot with three cups of water, and begin heating it on the stove top at a low-medium heat. Place the glass bowl within the pot of water. Do NOT let the water boil over into the glass bowl. Melt all of the ingredients together. Once melted, add in the essential oil to the blended ingredients and pour quickly and carefully into the container of your choice. I used a small mason jar. Use this product each night before you go to bed as a night cream or lotion. This product has a shelf life of three to five months, depending on the temperature it's stored.
