GALENTINE’S!!!

GALENTINE’S!!!

This year I decided to host a Galentine’s Party. Galentine’s is basically where you ban all boys/men & hang out with your friends with dark chocolate and red wine.

Sounds sooooOOOOoooo fun, right?

Skinny Cow was kind enough to send us some fabulous treats for the girly party. Think indulgent Creamy Iced Coffee Drinks ( we added ice & cinnamon ), Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Bars ( << I put a big bowl of berries next to these because chocolate x berries= best thing ever ), AND some dark chocolate Blissful Truffle Candy Bars ( paired with a little red wine ).

Here were some highlights of the party:

We played Frank Sinatra. I LOVE FRANK.

I gave out little party favors ( these cute cups— I mean, how cute are these though?! ). I filled each cup with Skinny Cow’s dark chocolate Blissful Truffle Candy Bars & Conversation Hearts ( if you prefer a lighter chocolate, the Blissful Truffle Candy Bars are also available in milk chocolate ). I also wrote each friend a Valentine card ( Hello Kitty ones from the drugstore as a throwback ).

I also put out Polaroids of me and all my friends for a cute added touch. See:

Instead of serving the delicious Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream in the wrapper, I unwrapped each one & added them to chilled martini glasses that had a couple of Conversation Hearts ( you can’t have a Valentine’s party without Convo Hearts! ). The new Skinny Cow ice cream comes in three flavors — including Vanilla Almond Crunch, Double Caramel Swirl and Triple Chocolate Ripple.

I lit Mimosa scented candles around the house too. Fitting, right?!

For the delicious Creamy Iced Coffee Drinks, ( my favorite flavor was the Mocha Latte but they are also available in Vanilla Latte & Creamy Cappuccino) I used champagne glasses with pretty, cute pixy straws. Because creamy iced coffee served in champagne glasses is wayyyyyy more fun than a boring-ass mug.

Lastly, whenever I throw a party I make sure to add dimension ( different heights ) to the table. So I included a tall vintage cake stand, tall candles, champagne glasses, flowers ( LOTS of flowers!! ), & bowls of grapefruit & dried strawberries. YUM!

Have you guys ever thrown a Galentine’s party? If so, TIPS please! I’m for sure throwing another one next year!!

Happy Valentine’s Day! xx, Lauryn
