The Artist UnSEWn- Posy by Amy Reber

I’m excited to get to introduce one of Free Spirit Fabrics’ newest lines, featuring one of their newest designers. Amy Reber is launching her first line, Posy, and I had the pleasure of sewing up these funky fresh fabrics.

My favorite part of The Artist UnSEWn is that you can read all about the designer and their inspiration behind their fabrics. Posy’s inspiration comes from Amy’s mother’s garden, and the florals and greenery evoke a calming effect, just like a real garden!

Posy’s florals and greenery gave me a mod vibe, so I echoed that in my pattern choice. I took the Izzy & Ivy Designs’ Little Vicki Dress, and made Bunches in Abelia the star of the show.

I also love a good stripe, especially when it’s a little quirky and not your traditional lines. Sunglow Stripe in Abelia picks up a little more of that gorgeous magenta that is featured in the main print. And you know I couldn’t leave a hemband without a pop of Cluny lace from Little Red Cottage.

Pretty spunky for an 8 a.m. photo shoot, right? We had some girl time without the brothers, so she was happy to oblige despite the early wake up call. The promise of hot cocoa and a chocolate chip scone didn’t hurt, either.

Be sure to check out the Julep and Rosa colorways of Posy, which showcase greens and reds, respectively. What is your favorite print from Posy? Comment below for a chance to WIN a fat quarter bundle of Posy from Free Spirit Fabrics! Contest will run through 11:59 pm on June 16th, 2017, and is open worldwide. One entry per person, please. Winner will be contacted via email and will have 48 hours to claim their prize. The contest and post are both sponsored by the fabulous friends at Free Spirit Fabrics!
