A Kelly Takeover

In my first year of blogging (and we are now on year three) I introduced you to five other bloggers named Kelly and for nine months it was my most popular post. I love making friends in the blog world and it is an extra special something when I click on a great blog and find out that the author is also named Kelly, basically we are destined to be friends.

Over the past six months I have flagged a few awesome bloggers named Kelly that I have come across and recently I reached out to each and asked their name, age, location, for them to describe their blog in one sentence. And for an extra bit of spice, I asked each Kelly to share a quirky fact about herself.

Before I introduce to each love lady, to be fair, I am going to do the same thing. My name is Kelly Donlin, I am 24-years old and I live in New York City. Sparkles and Shoes is a fashion and lifestyle blog covering all of my favorite things from trends and beauty to decorating and cooking. And a quirky fact? I can always be found listening to an audiobook when I am commuting on the subway, I listen to over 40 a year!

Now, two years after the first post I am excited to introduce you to another round of wonderful bloggers named Kelly.

Kelly Feller is 26 and lives in Mesa, Arizona with her husband and adorable 20-month old daughter, Odette. Her blog, Dette Cakes, is a mommy lifestyle blog where she shares recipes, DIY projects, beauty, fashion and bits and pieces of her daily life. We share a huge Sephora obsession and she is also obsessed with decorating her house and making every holiday special.

Thirty-year old Kelly Larkin is another big-city blogger. She writes at Kelly in the City, a preppy life and style blog originally based in New York City and now in Chicago! Her quirky fact was a great one - when she was 13 she painted her childhood bedroom in cow spots. The carpeting was pink–for the utter–and she dripped black paint all over it leaving her parents were less than pleased.

Kelly Louise of Six One Six is a Boston girl living in Los Angeles, California. Her lifestyle blog that contains content for every genre; beauty & fashion, life adventures, personal struggles, recipes and everything in between. I love her hysterical YouTube videos and candid approach to the world. And talk about a 32-year old girl after my own heart, we both struggle with spelling, I get stuck on the work restaurant and she can never spell “necessary” without spell check.

Kelly Augustine is a 28-year old New Yorker like myself. Her blog, Kelly Augustine, features around plus size fashion and her like in New York City. We both have degrees in advertising and she loves, loves, loves to cook and is now discovering the world of living gluten and dairy free.

Another California girl, Kelly of Alterations Needed, just moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, but she is originally from Los Angeles. This 32-year old blogger is super petite (4’11″!) and uses her blog as an outlet to share fashion picks that work for her in the hopes other petites get ideas on where to shop or what might work for them. And her quirky fact is truly quirky, her hair is naturally curly – it was straight until she turned 13 years old, and then the curls took over!

Kelly Alberts is the 28-year old behind Sequins and Scissors. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana she writes about projects, recipes, fashion hair and now, pregnancy. (congrats!) As a hair designer and photographer she always keeps me guessing. Her quirky fact? She uses a straw to drink everything, even coffee!
