Snapshots of My New York City

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and timeshel, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #timeshelprints http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

My mom likes snail mail – I mean really likes snail mail. When she sees a good article in a newspaper or magazine she cuts it out for me and sends it via the U.S. Postal Service. As some days I do not get any mail, it is nice to open my box at the end of the day and see a letter waiting there for me. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to send her an occasional piece of post back and by the end of the post, you will see the latest idea.

Last week I got a package in my mail box that I had been waiting for all week - my timeshel photos:

Just like my recipes, I like things that are easy. And timeshel is easy. So how does it work? You download the free timeshel app, create an account, subscribe to the timeshel service by entering your credit card info, enter your delivery address, and then over the course of the month upload photos through the app. Timeshel is currently available only iPhone IOS and thank goodness because with my 16GB 5s I feel like that dreaded “storage is almost full” pop up plagues me and this is a great way to alleviate it!

The app offers two tiers of service – 10 prints per month delivered in an adorable little envelope for$ 5.95 per month or 30 prints in the ‘shel’, a small white box (pictured above), for $14.95/month. I opted in for the second tier and here are the 30 prints I decided to print on this first go-around (and you can switch between two tiers of service at anytime):

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the photographs and how easy the app was to use. The prints come in two sizes: a rectangle and a square (aka Instagram); both with a quarter inch white border. You can add any combination of the two sizes into your story in the app and timeshel will print them all. I was planning on just getting square photos but like trying anything new, I got a few rectangles to see how they looked. You can also order doubles of certain prints but I was so excited to get 30 different prints I skipped that feature.

So what do you do with these lovely photos? Well, on to the letter I eluded to, I printed a few of my favorite photos of my brother Kevin and I now that we both live here in the city hundreds of miles from our family, and included a few of my favorite shots of New York City with a note. I sealed it up and will pop this letter in the mail today on my way to work, mom, get ready!

And with a few of my other favorites prints from this timeshel order I added them to the collection of photos and do-dads on my fridge:

To me, family is everything and I love that these New York City photos now join my mom, dad, and brother!

And mom, I hope you like the photos
