Style Icon: Emily Blunt

My latest style icon is the wonderfully talented Emily Blunt. While The Devil Wears Prada may be the role that introduced me to her (nine years ago, how was that nine years ago?) she has done so many great things since. I still have not seen Edge of Tomorrow or Into the Woods, her two big movies from last year, but her impeccable style will hold me over until I get around to RedBox-ing them.

When asked about her style she told TIME magazine, “I like more edge rather than something too girly and straight. I don’t like flouncy, and I don’t like boring. I’d prefer to go for something a little sleeker and more defined. The only way to work with fashion is to just wear whatever the hell you want to wear. If you try to morph into something you’re not, you’ll look like an idiot and you’ll get found out.” Here are some of my favorite looks, from red carpet to street style:

Arguably my favorite gowns are the red ones but with her ever changing hair color I am sure she would look good in just about anything, or as my grandma has said about my entire Style Icon series, “Think these gals could wear a paper bag for a dress and still look awesome.” Memé, I agree!
