I hope your week is coming along swimmingly and that you’re all having good things happen to you This week’s edition of Fitspo Wellness Wednesday is going to be focusing on clean eating. I notice that whenever I’m working toward getting in shape, losing weight, gaining muscle, etc. and I fall off the wagon, the first thing to go is usually my good eating habits. This couldn’t have been more clear than during my recent move to my new apartment (now mostly done, thank God!). I was so preoccupied by packing, moving, and then even unpacking, that my entire diet plan went out the window. I ate out way too much due to all the canned food being packed, our fridge being unplugged, and we had to stay in my boyfriend’s mom’s guest room for a week so there’s that. I may or may not have eaten an entire row of Oreo’s, but that point aside; healthy eating is super important. I’ve been working to get back on track and I’ve used a few tactics to do it so today I’ll be sharing my tips, some delicious food inspiration (all healthy picks!) and more fitspo in between – I hope you enjoy!

Turmeric Tea I made the other night – Turmeric helps with SO many things including dietary and medicinal health benefits. It mainly acts as a potent anti-inflammatory so if you have redness in your skin, inflammation in your body, etc. This is a great thing to drink before bed. All you have to do is boil some water, put 1 teaspoon of organic honey (or alt. sweetener, but I use honey) into a teacup alongside 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Pour hot water over and stir. It’s best when drank warm and you can drink it before bed, if you like; it also helps with sleep!
