True Nature Botanicals Skincare Review

I was so psyched awhile back when I was approached by TN Botanicals to review some of their products and they sent me a bunch of amazing products! Having heard of this brand ages ago, but never had the chance to try them out, I was more than ecstatic to receive a bunch of full size items. I’ve been using them pretty non-stop for a little over a month now and I couldn’t be happier. These products are impressive. They’re not only all natural and organic and filled to the brim with potent plant ingredients, but they create products that are actually driven by results. On top of that, they’re all about education and promoting green beauty to the world which is something I can really get behind!

The True Nature Botanicals Story

One thing I really love about this brand are their proactive efforts within the natural beauty community. They not only make great, effective products, but they also put forth an effort to help educate consumers on what safe skincare is, what false marketing claims you shouldn’t fall for, and more. I love that it’s not all about a sale; they genuinely invest time into helping to improve the green beauty community and that’s something that really stands out about them to me.

True Nature Botanicals Skincare Review

Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser // This cleanser is surprisingly gentle for a cleanser with the word “exfoliating” in the name. It’s so gentle, in fact, that you really won’t even know it’s exfoliating your skin, but somehow your skin will feel softer, look prettier, and feel more hydrated. The cleanser combines a patented mushroom extract and a gentle skin polishing scrub to remove dead skin cells without causing irritation. The result is glowing skin that looks healthy and feels baby soft! I’ve also noticed that I have had a lot less breakouts than normal which is something I won’t soon forget. Notable ingredients include their patented mushroom extract, chamomile, manuka honey, and green tea ♥

Ingredients: Camellia sinensis (green & white tea)*, phaseolus angularis (adzuki bean) powder*, Actifoliate® (glycerin, water, mucor miehei extract, glucosamine HCI, urea), glycerin (vegetable glycerin)*, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) juice*, xanthan gum, polyaminopropyl biguanide**, honey (manuka honey)*, colloidal oat flour*, ascophyllum nodosum (kelp) powder*, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) oleoresin*, matricaria recutita (chamomile flower) powder, potassium sorbate, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) essential oil*, pelargonium capitatum x radens (rose geranium) essential oil

Pacific Face Mist // This mist has been a godsend on these hot California days. Not only does the gentle mist feel amazing on my skin, but it smells lovely and feels like instant hydration. One thing I love about this mist that sets it apart is that it doesn’t use water. You heard that right – NO WATER – just potent plant ingredients and tea ♥ I’m in love with this one! Notable ingredients include green and white tea, sea kelp and sea fennel, neroli, and kombucha.

Pacific Face Oil // This face oil has some insane research to back it up! According to studies, it outperforms the cult classic – Creme de La Mer in areas from wrinkle reduction to skin hydration. On the skin, it’s light, but hydrating, and smells wonderful. The face oil feels so nourishing on my skin and absorbs quickly without much effort. On top of that, notable ingredients include chia seed and kiwi oils, papaya and passion fruit, and essential fatty acids from the sea!

Ingredients: Camellia oleifera (camellia) oil*, vitus viniferi (grapeseed) oil*, persea gratissima (avocado) oil*, sclerocarya birrea (marula) oil*, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil*, salvia hispanica (chia) seed oil*, borago officinalis (borage) oil*, citrullus lanatus (watermelon) seed oil, rubus idaeus (red raspberry) seed oil*, argania spinosa (argan) oil*, oenotherus biennis (evening primrose) oil*, rosa rubignosa (rosehip) seed oil*, squalene (vegetable squalene), mixed tocopherols (vitamin E)*, actinidia deliciosa (kiwi) seed oil, carica papaya (papaya) seed oil, passiflora incarnate (passion fruit) oil, rosa rubignosa (rosehip) seed CO2 oil*, Pacific Marine EFAs™, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) oleoresin*, pinus densiflora (red pine needle) oil*, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, aniba rosaeodora (rosewood) essential oil**, rosa centifolia (rose) essential oil*, andropogon zizanioides (vetiver) essential oil*, trachelospermum jasminoides (star jasmine) essential oil, citrus aurantium (neroli) essential oil*, boswellia carterii (frankincense) essential oil*

Pacific Night Serum with Retinol // This was one of my favorites of the bunch (though really, they’re all favorites!). This serum is perfect if you want a night treatment that legitimately works. It has some seriously impressive results and it’s the one retinol serum I’ve tried that didn’t irritate my skin or cause redness. The first night I tried it, I was sure it wasn’t going to do anything (because no pain no gain people!), but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This serum makes my skin look fresh and clear, super soft and glowing, and helps heal breakouts overnight. It’s just amazing. I love love love it! Notable ingredients include pacific marine bioactive peptides, mild retinol, noni, vitamin E, sea kelp and more. This serum is packed with so many anti-aging benefits I couldn’t fit them all in here without making this ridiculously long.

Pacific Exfoliating Moisturize Face Mask // This is another amazing product to use for an instant pick-me-up! This mask utilizes various plant butters and extracts in a base of green and white tea to gently exfoliate your skin AND give it some much needed hydration all in one go. And guess what? It legit works. I’ve tried more hydrating masks than I can count and this one works incredibly well in comparison to those. A lot of the time, I feel like hydration masks are just stuff sitting on my face doing nothing, but this actually works. Your skin will look clearer, feel softer, and appear more youthful (plump) and refreshed. I love it and it’s now a weekly treatment alongside my clay masks.

Ingredients: Camellia sinensis (green & white tea)*, glycerin (vegetable glycerin)*, lactic acid, mangifera indica (mango) butter, persea gratissima (avocado)butter, solanum tuberosum (potato) flour, xanthan gum, tuberosa (tuberose) essential oil, trachelospermum jasminoides (star jasmine) essential oil, citrus aurantium (neroli) essential oil

Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage SPF20 in Light Tint // This is product that I started out hating, but now love. It’s kind of a tricky sort of product because it dries really quickly and it’s tinted (streaks abound if you don’t act fast). That said, if you use it like a lotion and not like makeup, it works really well. The color in this actually makes me look really glowing and it has SPF 20 so I can walk around with this on it’s own, if I want, and I have. On top of that, it feels like a skin treatment and includes enough plant ingredients to call itself one if it wanted to. Notable ingredients include non-nano zinc oxide, pearl powder for added brightening, tons of anti-aging plant oils (broccoli, raspberry, cherry, etc), coffee extract, and oat beta glucans for hydration and soothing effects. They claim it’s okay for acne and rosacea prone skin types also. As an acne prone skin type, I can attest that it won’t break you out!

Active ingredient: 17.7% non-nano zinc oxide. Ingredients: Camellia sinensis (green & white tea), non-nano zinc oxide, vegetable glycerin, Brassica oleracea italica (broccoli seed oil), Prunus avium (cherry kernel seed oil), emu oil, Punica granatum (pomegranate seed oil), Rubus idaeus (red raspberry seed oil), Tocopherol (vitamin E), Calodendrum capense (yangu oil), Cosmocil CQ*, xanthan gum, n-acetyl glucosamine, lecithin, potassium sorbate, pearl powder, Rosemarinus officinalis (rosemary oleoresin), beta glucan, Coffea arabica (coffee fruit extract), Hydrolyzed silk (silk powder), Rosa centifolia (rose) essential oil, Citrus aurantium bigaradia (neroli) essential oil, Helichrysum italicum (helichrysum essential oil), Cistus incanus (cistus) essential oil, iron oxides.

Things to Love About True Nature Botanicals

  • They are extremely transparent about ingredients. Their founder, Hilary Peterson, is consistently releasing articles on ingredients they utilize in their products, what they are, what they do, etc.
  • Their products are 100% natural and organic
  • Potent plant ingredients are formed from nature and backed by results
  • A variety of products that are all super gentle, effective, and great for all different types of skin.
  • Unique plant ingredients that feel luxurious and show results.

Overall, I really love this brand so much! I can honestly say there’s not a product in this lineup that I don’t like. All of the products are amazing; they’re gentle, hydrating, and very effective. The products also really work and show results, but they do so without irritating my skin in any way whatsoever. I love their ethos and I love the fact that they are so active in the green beauty community as well as transparent about their product ingredients. They also take so much care to educate consumers about these ingredients which I think is extremely helpful for those who are new to the green beauty world and have no idea where to start.
