Like Butter…

If you’re a regular reader in these parts, then you know I’ve got a thing for BITE Beauty. I wrote about several of their products in this post, and have gotten pretty loyal to them when it comes to lipsticks… I’ve even gone to their lip lab in SoHo to make my own lipstick (such a fun experience if you live in or are visiting New York!) The first reason I love the brand so much is that they are all natural and it can be SO impossibly hard to find cosmetics that are all natural. I’ve got the skincare down, but color cosmetics are a lot trickier. The second reason is all the technology they apply to their products. The formulas are always SO good. Hydrating, long-wearing, the works. Just as good, if not better than their “dirty” counterparts.

Their new butter cream lipsticks are available in eight universally flattering neutral shades. I thought the hand cut bullet was a little weird (I typically like an angled bullet for ease of application) but hand cutting the bullet removes the outer waxy layer, exposing the creamy core. It took a little bit of getting adjusted to, but application was still super easy.

These guys are infused with five butters – lavender, shea, almond, pomegranate and chamomile. I’m always blown away by how pigmented all of BITE’s products are… and how well the formulas wear. These are no exception… and I love how hydrated soft they leave my lips!

Personal favorites from the collection are swatched from left to right. Heather is a pretty rosy neutral — like my own lip color but better; Caramel is a great nude; and Hazelnut is a bit more vampy (for someone who isn’t very vampy… think… beginner vampy!)
