COZY UP YOUR HOME FOR FALL & WINTER
I am definitely not a winter person (spring and summer are more my cup of tea) but one of my favorite times of the year is the beginning of fall. The days are getting shorter and we are spending more time indoors. Every year I am cozying up my home to make the most of the short days and longer evenings. It is my ‘getting-ready-for-winter ritual’ and this year I teamed up with Dutch store Leen Bakker to give my living room a warm and cozy touch. I have to admit that Leen Bakker would normally not be my first store of choice for buying furniture and interior accessories. However, they recently rebranded and changed the look of their stores and web shop. They also collaborated with well known Dutch interior magazine 101 Woonideeen with whom they designed a collection of home accessories. I was curious to try out some accessories and furniture pieces and I was pleasantly surprised. Leen Bakker is known for their low prices and I was happy to find out that, although prices are low, the products are of good quality. The chair and side tables that I used are very sturdy for example. And also the wooden tray has been made of heavy quality wood. Another surprise was the design of the items that I selected for my living room. Simple, clean lines, and natural materials – because of these qualities all items seamlessly integrated in my interior. Decorating your home doesn’t have to be expensive.
