The Semi-Permanant Contour That Lasts A Week

We all know that contouring looks great but let’s be honest . . . who’s got the time? But a fun new beauty trend called “tantouring” may be about to change the contouring game. “Tantouring” is a new contouring trick that doesn’t require any contouring products – all you need is self tan.

Marissa Carter, the founder of self tan brand Cocoa Brown shared her tantouring tips with the Huffington Post recently and we’re intrigued. Take a look below to see how she does it:

1. Apply a gradual tanning moisturiser all over the face. This gives the skin a gentle glow.

2. Using a stippling foundation brush apply a darker shade of tan to forehead. Using a mousse formulation is important because it is oil free and won’t clog pores or cling to fine lines and wrinkles.

3. Using an angled contouring brush apply tan under cheekbone from ear to mid cheek. A little bit of tan under the tip of the nose and down the sides will make the nose look smaller.

4. This may look harsh when first applied but use fingers to blend for an even glow.

5. Let the tan develop and your contour should then last between five-seven days before fading.

Is tantouring for you? Would you try it at home? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
