Philosophy Skin Care

Recently I've been uploading lots of beauty finds on my Instagram account. One of which has been Philosophy we has been a Winter skin Godsend these past few weeks. Each of the three items in the photo above I have found great either individually paired with other beauty favourites or all three combined for some heavy duty skin rescue time.

Average price range: €22.50 / £16.50 for 240 ml

I was introduced to Purity last September which is essentially the ultimate busy bee's 3-1 cleanser . It gives your skin an instant deep clean sensation which is a great feeling after a long day where you can feel various elements and makeup build up on your skin.

For oily skin you will find this particularly helpful as it really does break through heavy oils that might have occurred thought the day because it contains Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, which sounds like a mouthful, but it essentially dissolves impurities from the skin softly. It's ideal for sensitive skin and it even removes heavy eye makeup which I found fantastic. I personally love it when I'm working in a city because after a day of casting and running around on trains I just feel like I have so much dust and flyaways on my face. Purity really gives that squeaky clean feeling to my skin.
For those with very dry skin I would use this product once a day as opposed to morning and night time and pairing this product with Hope In A Jar ( discussed below) is a beautiful combination.

Average price : €44 / £32 for 60ml
Hope In A Jar is something I have only started using two weeks ago. I've had a number of emails recently over beauty products for Winter skin, and this is certainly one to look out for. If you feel like you're a walking prune with dry or dehydrated skin then this is definitely something for you. I use it on very dry days as I've oily skin thats dehydrated, so for me it's about finding the right balance. As this is a rich cream I've been using it every second day to break up my routine and the difference I've noticed even when applying my makeup has been great.

The final product I really want to introduce you to is Microdelivery Peel which is essentially your own at home D.I.Y microdermabrasion. Over the the last few months from entering various temperatures skin layers can become easily dehydrated and clogged. This is like an intense face scrub with similar properties to Microdermabrasion. The name initially threw me off a little bit as I wasn't sure what to expect. Following the instructions I literally applied the scrub which is Vitamin C and peptide Crystals to my face and gently scrubbed for 60 seconds, followed by the activating gel which you leave on your skin for 2/3 minutes. You will then see it gently begin to foam on your skin. Once removed with hot water you will actually be stroking your own face at how soft it feels. Amazing!
I'm aiming to use it once a week for the next few weeks to keep on top of my skin routine as I have noticed my skin looking fresher and less tired. It's also meant to help with fine lines and scarring too.

Average price range: €75 /£55 for full Microdelivery kit

Philosophy products are actually quite easy to come by, I found lots of online retailers as well as Arnotts, Debenhams and Selfridges. To be extra savy I found that if you look in store you will still have retailers such as Debenhams selling off the last bits and pieces of their post Christmas Sale stock. I even came across a hand moisturisers for €5 which I was was quite please about!
