From Celebrations Of Joy…Phillip and Billy are a bi-national couple, Phillip is a Brit and Billy is American, and they asked us to help them create an intimate celebration for their California wedding with a twist: Gene Autry Cowboy meets Mid-Century Modern! They chose to have their ceremony and reception at the historic Gene Autry House on the grounds of the Parker Palm Springs, and wanted the style and theme of the wedding to reflect the location and be an intimate beautiful celebration for 30 of their closest family and friends. We played with all the details: from their web site, to the menu cards, to the guest book poster of Gene Autry the guests signed as they arrived, yet also kept the décor elegant and reflective of the mid-century modern style of the venue. As they exchanged vows, the Grooms stood before a curtain of ribbons that flowed in the breeze. With the team of Maggie Jensen Floral Design and Classic Party Rentals we created one long table for the reception framed by chandeliers. The table top reflected the California desert with sage linens, a mid-century modern motif runner from Wildflower Linens, lots of succulents and of course Billy Balls, in reflective gold vessels.
