Jess Lively Home Tour and Behind the Podcast
Jess Lively is the voice behind The Lively Show, a must listen to podcast if you’re not already. She also happens to have an Austin abode that we are getting a first peek at. And if that yellow front door doesn’t capture your heart then the backyard certainly will or maybe her two pups Eleanor Roosevelt and little Ben Franklin. Oh and did we mention that it’s her birthday? Join me in sending lots of birthday love Jess’s way and find even more captured by Love, The Nelsons in the VAULT.
What inspired you to create The Lively Show?
Like many women, I grew up watching The Oprah Show, and I always thought it would be a dream come true to be able to help people live better lives in such a fun and meaningful way. However, over the last 10 years that I’ve pursued that dream, I finally realized that instead of having a TV show right away, I could start with a podcast. And that’s how The Lively Show was born.
What message do you try to convey to your listeners?
Overall, I’m always looking for topics, guests, and conversations that uplift, inspire, and help my listeners live from their Values everyday. Beyond The Lively Show, my core focus is my online class, Life With Intention Online. This program helps transform the way our members approach their lives – so that they experience more peace, joy, and fulfillment in their possessions, personal habits, relationships, and career.
With The Lively Show, I try to find ways to include bits and pieces of this approach in the episodes as well.

What are the key values that drive you and your brand?
My Values-based intention for career (which applies to the podcast and my class) is: To help people find balance their lives based on Values, principles, and a loose hold on expectation.
For my personal life, my current intention is a quote by Sri K Pattabhhi Jois, “practice and all is coming,” which sounds abstract… or at least strangely worded. But it is helping me hold deeply to the fact that living our Values is a moment-to-moment practice. It also reminds me that by committing to this practice each day, we can have faith that all the other outcomes and achievements we may want will come as a result of living our Values in the present moment naturally.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Be patient.
Ask your intuition for guidance.
And enjoy the growth.
If listeners were to take away one thing from you, what would it be?
That the joy and fulfillment we seek does not come from any particular outcome or achievement. It comes through living our deepest Values in the present moment.

Explain Life With Intention Online.
Life With Intention Online is an online program that helps people who are sick of trying to “do and have it all,” transform their approach to life and experience peace, joy, and meaning in every area of their lives.
The five week course includes: four fun video modules, a supportive private community, life time access to the course content, and live weekly coaching calls.
Great Outdoors
White patio chair: Ikea | Outdoor table benches: Builtwell | String lights: Amazon | Black and white outdoor pillows: Etsy | White gold bowl: TargetWhat blogs do you check religiously?
I am really into lifestyle design blogs, so my go-tos are: Elements of Style, Design Darling, Sequins & Stripes, and The Good Life For Less.
I’m also really into these two YouTube channels as well: Mimi Ikonn and Vivianna Does Makeup.
When you were growing up, what was your dream job?
In third grade it was to be a lawyer like my Grandfather. In high school it was to have a successful jewelry business. In college it was to have a TV show and write a book.
What are five things you could never live without?
1. My iPad Kindle account with all of my ebooks.
2. My vintage marble farmhouse table.
3. Murder mysteries (television or fiction).
4. Running trails near my house.
5. Adventure and spontaneity.
If you could have a dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would love to have dinner with Ben Franklin! I am obsessed with him and his work. I’d love to find out what he was really like firsthand.
