The Easiest Little Floral Cakes

How cute are these little cakes? They took about 10 minutes (if that) to put together and would be the perfect sweet treat for a Spring bridal shower or any celebration for that matter. I try to eat and share healthy recipes for the most part but my pregnancy has kicked my sweet tooth into high gear and these are in no way fresh, unprocessed or healthy — but they sure are tasty and pretty!

My husband said they taste like Twinkies — and I’d kind of agree. I purchased the angel food cake shells in the bakery department of my local grocery store and added a dollop of whip cream. The edible flowers steal the show and bring these beauties to life. I’d like to try this with a whipped goat cheese sweetened with a little sugar, honey drizzle and more thyme– I think that would be a really good combination.
