Lingerie & Loungewear: Uye Surana

It is not often that I find a brand that straddles both lingerie and loungewear styles to produce delicate, comfortable, and modern clothing. Uye Surana is one of those brands, bringing us both soft lace and satin intimates, everyday loungewear and silk and jersey daywear.

Uye Surana, (pronounced Yoo Sur-rah-nuh) was created by designer Monica Wesley, who formed the brand name from a combination of family names to reflect her Japanese and European descent. A former student of Parsons School of Design, Wesley creates a romantic, relaxed aesthetic throughout her collections.

Cold, winter weekends provide me with the perfect opportunity to live (indoors!) in these styles. These photos were taken on my birthday weekend at the wonderful Luton Hoo hotel and spa, a beautiful 5 star retreat just outside of London. The chance to slow down at weekends is gold dust in the run up to Christmas, so I’m going to get comfortable, and enjoy it
