Recharge

I hope you had an amazing weekend! Mine was so nice an chilled with just the right amount of exercise and relaxing mixed together. It felt like a healthy recharge and exactly what I needed to prepare for the busy week ahead. Yesterday, Ollie and I went to North Vancouver to take these photos in a spot that I had been to for a shoot in the winter. It was nice to return on a warm spring day and enjoy the beautiful view without shivering to death. It's quite the magical little spot too, with no-one else around other than a family and their dalmatian that came to pick berries along the river's edge. After we were finished shooting, we laid this blanket down on a big rock and listened to the river flow by without a care in the world. There's nothing more soothing than the sound of water -- I could sit and listen to it for hours. It's my dream to one day have a home right at the edge of the water so that I can sleep every night to this sound. I swear I would never be stressed again.
This blanket has already proven to be so versatile -- going from a shawl thrown over my shoulders, to a blanket for us to sit by the river and later to take in the sunset at the beach. On the walk home, I threw it back over my shoulders to keep the chill off and I'm realizing it will come in so handy this summer for all the evenings spent down at kits beach. It's light and warm and oh-so-perfect. I can't wait for it to get more use next weekend with the girls.
