NEW Mixed Media Canvas and VIDEO TUTORIAL! {GIVE-AWAY!!}

Hi All! Today, I'd like to share another mixed media canvas I made using some of my favorite Dusty Attic chipboard! (see below for give-away) This is a small 5x7 canvas on which I used texture paste and stencils and lots of bits and pieces of my Dusty Attic chipboard. Here are the Dusty Attic chippies I used for this one:
Dusty Attic Chipboard: Jumbo Cogs, Wings, Wrought Iron Trim Set, Cogs 1, Zippers, Chains 4pc, Decorative Keyholes 8pk, Vintage Keys, Keys & Locks, Nuts & Bolts. ~ Dusty In Color: Raisin and Cranberry Paint, DA Gloss Varnish (on heart)
**For mixed media product (inks, paints, sprays) see 'description' area in the Youtube post.

I began by making a heart center piece using some Martha Stewart 'air dry' clay. I just formed a heart shape using the clay and then used the tip of a pen (unopened) to put the little circle etchings into the clay...then left it to dry overnight. You could use baking clay for this as well if you don't want to wait for your clay to air dry. Once I had that done I was ready to create! Here is a full video tutorial on how I made this canvas. Enjoy!

Here are a few close-ups of the canvas....

The bottom strip and the 'V' shaped piece on it I just hand cut for this project from some left over chipboard. I used a stencil and texture paste to make the measuring tape design.
So, I'm often asked what I do with my mixed media projects....and would I consider selling them? Well, how about I give this one away! Just leave me a comment below and at the end of the month (June 30th, 2014) I will use random.org to pick someone to recieve my canvas as a gift!
I hope you enjoyed my video tutorial using Dusty Attic chipboard and hope that I've inspired you to give this type of project a try! xo
