Learning About New Baby Products with Gerber

This past week I had an opportunity to get together with a few local moms to learn about Gerber’s newest product: Gerber’s 3rd Foods® Lil Bits™ Recipes. Sophia is a Gerber alum, obviously past the baby food stage, but with a new little one on the way I was eager to learn about these new changes.

It was fun to see all the babies and made me anxious for December when we will have our newest little one. It’s amazing how quickly things change between kids, even though it was only three years ago since we had a newborn it seems like there are tons of new products and gadgets and recommendations. Times may have changed but Gerber has continued to change with the times.

Gerber’s 3rd Foods® Lil Bits™ Recipes were created to help teach babies how to chew by adding the right sized, soft pieces of fruit or veggies to each variety. These new recipes (in the same convenient plastic tubs) offer a gradual texture progression which helps babies learn the skills they need to transition to table food. Chewing is an essential milestone in baby’s development, and Gerber is the only baby food company in the country which uses a special cooking method that gives Gerber’s 3rd Foods® Lil Bits™ Recipes the right texture and perfectly sized soft bits to help babies master chewing.

I was really impressed to learn how much thought and planning went into this new product. Over 80 experts and over 80 taste tests were held to ensure the ideal baby-approved taste. Not only that, but Gerber analyzed hours of chewing and mashing and tested 30,000 spoonfuls to develop the perfectly sized bits.

Gerber is giving away some great prizes when you sign your little ones up to Gerber Chew University. You can return to the site daily to for a chance to win! 100 winners per day will receive Class of 2015 Chew U prizes. Promotion period ends on September 4, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. ET
