This Thing Called "Confidence"....

was and still is my most coveted accessory this year and will be for years to come (God willing). Beverly Ann (that's my crazy momma if you're a new comer) gave me the confidence crash course years ago and that along with many other life lessons has always stuck with me. Although, I may come off as having it all together (yeah right...lol) I'm not about to lie this past year I relied more than ever on her words of wisdom. Picking up and leaving the life I've known for 20 plus years, walking away from a position with a company I'd been with for 13 years, leaving my family and friends that I've known FOREVER...believe me when I tell ya this experience has definitely been a confidence tester and let's just say confidence, my support system and repetitive chats with God is the reason I can say "I'm good!". Confidence comes from loving oneself, and once self love is accomplished you will be amazed at how everything else just falls into place. Granted I may not have the luxury of driving a new Range every few years or the luxury to whip out the plastic and get my shopping fix after seeing the latest 'in thing" on the web or after having a stressful ass day at the gig, or because the line was too long at Starbucks (I'm telling you I really didn't need a reason to self indulge...lol) but I'm happy and the lessons I've learned on this little journey are priceless. Face your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and prepare your future without fear. I also learned with confidence a simple tee and jeans (which I consider taking the easy way out;) can speak volumes (you know I had to throw in a few wise words about the fit;) Anywho, enjoy your weekend as I plan to enjoy mine and it's been good chopping it up with ya and I'll see you back here in a bit. It's been a while since I've had one of these....need to do it more often.
