Many of us have collections that we ourselves acquired or may have inherited. I love when I can breath new life into an old collection.
After removing my Christmas plates from my corner cabinet in my dining room, I was trying to decide what to put into it.
I have a small collection of Lladro figurines (some where inherited, some were gifts, and actually one was a gift to my youngest daughter that I’ve been designated as the guardian of until she moves out).
It seems that Lladro was once a very popular collectible, but now it’s popularity has waned. They are an abundance of them at antique/vintage shops.
I am loving the coloring of the Lladro with the color of my dining room walls (the same as the inside of my corner cabinet) and my newly acquired plates! I have very much been on a “nondish buying diet” but couldn’t resist these. They are by echodesign and I got them at HomeGoods for $1.99 @ (no consideration was received, bought them myself, just wanted to give you the details).
I truly feel like I’ve breathed new life into my collection. It gives me an opportunity to appreciate and admire some things that I’ve had for a long time, from a new perspective.
What have you been up to lately? Cleaning out? Re-organizing? Creating new displays? I always love to hear from you and so appreciate all of your support as I try to breath a little life back into my blog! LOL!
