LUXURY DESIGNERS & VELVET BAGS
I wrote about how velvet is basically the new suede a few weeks ago, so it’s no surprise that velvet is popping up all over on every type of bag. And if Prada’s doing it, you know it’s a good idea. I’m pretty sure this Prada bag was actually made for me because it’s everything I love in a bag: wide and comfy strap, medium size, gold detail, dark red color, velvet, and designer quality. A lot of other luxury designers are making velvet bags too: Valentino has a really cute studded one, Dolche & Gabbana has a velvet box clutch, Eddie Borgo has this velvet round bag (so cute), and Saint Laurent has a velvet wallet.
I got this new Prada just in time for Fashion Month (leaving in three days!) and planning to showcase it along with a few other velvety looks. What do you think about the velvet trend? Which bag is your favorite from my top picks below?
