NYX Bronzed & Glow HD Blushes

NYX Bronzed HD Blush

NYX Bronzed HD Blush ($6.50 for 0.16 oz.) is a softened, medium copper-brown with warm, reddish undertones and a luminous sheen. It had good pigmentation with a soft, blendable consistency that was a smidgen powdery but didn’t look it on the skin. The blush seemed to “melt” against the skin to a degree, as the finish had a natural sheen that didn’t emphasize pores but helped the skin look like skin. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me. Sephora Pantone Universe Marsala (LE, $25.00) is lighter (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury The Climax (P, $40.00) is warmer (90% similar). Chanel Canaille (89) (LE, $45.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Sephora Collection Passionate (23) (P, $15.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). MAC Peachtwist (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Chanel Jersey (80) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). NARS Fervor (Right) (P) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Chanel Alezane (260) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). MAC Stylish Me (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Pleasure Model (LE, $25.00) is darker, brighter, warmer (85% similar). Guerlain #02 (P, $53.00) is warmer (85% similar). Clinique Fig Pop (P, $21.00) is brighter, cooler (85% similar). Too Faced Peach Beach (P, $30.00) is lighter (85% similar). Becca Songbird (P, $32.00) is brighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Make You Mine (P, $23.50) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Colour Pop Swift (P, $8.00) is darker (80% similar). MAC Sweet As Cocoa (P, $21.00) is darker (80% similar). MAC Worldly Wealth (LE, $21.00) is darker, warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

NYX Glow HD Blush ($6.50 for 0.16 oz.) is a medium, orange-toned brown with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had nice color payoff, while the soft, silky texture made it easy to blend out the edges or to sheer it out, if desired. The texture gets a little powdery, as it is so soft, but it doesn’t look powdery on the skin. When I tried it, the blush lasted for eight hours before fading. IT Cosmetics Warm Radiance (P, $34.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Benefit 10 (Bronzer) (DC, $28.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). LORAC Unapologetic (LE) is darker, warmer (85% similar). MAC Aphrodite's Shell (LE, $33.00) is less shimmery, lighter (80% similar). MAC Liberating (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

FORMULA SUMMARY | NYX’s newest blush formula is supposed to be a “high definition, lightweight blush that blends evenly” that is “vibrant and silky.” The texture tended to be on the more powdery side, but it sits well and doesn’t look powdery applied. Many shades have a more luminous finish to them where the shimmer is fine enough to create a glow, rather than a frosted finish (though a couple are quite shimmery). The formula blends fairly easily on the skin and has medium, buildable coverage with some being very pigmented right off the bat. The wear time is between seven and eight hours.
