Tarte Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette V2 ($38.00 for 1.12 oz.) includes sixteen, full-sized eyeshadows in various earthy hues ranging from beige to plum to deep bronze. Each eyeshadow is 0.07 oz., which is a bit larger than the average full-sized eyeshadow (typically 0.05 oz.). Tarte has a few refills sold for $17/0.06 oz., which would make the value of this palette $317.33. Fifteen of the sixteen were really nice with only one being more of a miss. A lot of the colors are more dupable than not, and the palette runs warm-toned with a fair amount of shimmer, though I felt like there was a decent variety of matte, satin/pearl, and frost.
Update: Sephora is now listing this as “V1.” I’m not sure why it’s changed. It was listed as V2 when I initially posted about it (a week or so ago), and it was listed as V2 last night. The link I grabbed from Sephora last night has “V2″ at the end of it. The link still works but redirects to -V1 at the end. On the product listing, it was changed to V1 when I looked at ~8AM PST. I emailed Tarte to try to find out what’s going on.
