Chamonix in Sweaty Betty

It’s no secret that I love thermals. They’re a fashion blogger’s best friend allowing you to wear fine knits and other summery pieces in the depths of winter (case in point – linen dungarees). But usually thermals are for hiding… until now. The lovely folks over at Sweaty Betty kitted me out for our trip to Chamonix and I’m not ashamed to admit, I looked pretty fly. The husband said looking at me was like watching static on an old TV… I’m pretty sure the word he was searching for was ‘mesmerising’.

Pretty good timing then that there’s 25% off all skiwear (applied at checkout automatically) until 4th Feb – hooray! Sticking with the ‘mesmerising’ theme of the criss cross thermals (which, by the way. were super warm but never sweaty – ski win!), I also chose the uphill ski jacket and added a bit of colour with the chill resist hoodie (I know this guy will be getting out and about for runs around Glasgow too).

So what about Chamonix? Well, it snowed. And snowed and snowed. And then guess what? It snowed some more. The skiing was awesome and the town was as chocolate box pretty as always and the apres ski was just as good as I remembered and the cheese, oh my, there was so much cheese – cheese fondue, cheese crepes, cheese pizzas, cheese for breakfast (just because I could. What? You burn it all off anyway… I’m sure). Are any of you slope bound? Tell me all!
