On beach time

There’s just something about the beach and the sea and the sand… Being by the sea always feels like the ultimate time out to me and time like that is so important when life is unstoppably busy.

We took a drive, yes like old people, on the bank holiday Monday through to the East coast of Scotland, to Elie where I’ve been coming since I was a very little girl and little dog saw the beach for the very first time. We introduced him to the sea – honestly we were expecting more… wave jumping and intrigue but no… the sand was where it’s at. That stuff is so soft it gets right between your paws and you can dig. Oh boy can you dig thought little dog. And he did. He was digging all day long, sand all over the sandwiches, sand all over Mr K, sand all over the camera, sand everywhere. But that’s what the beach is really all about right?

So fringing and Birks and braids because, ya know, boho beachy vibes… and now I’ve discovered these in the Asos sale they’ve pretty much moved to the top of my birthday list – fluffy Birks? Surely there is no greater pleasure for feet.
