Wide Legs

As against the sportswear and sneakers trend train, on which I jumped on two years belated – I’m game with the flared jeans hype since the very beginning. Eventually in my heart I’m a little 60’s hippie girl. So, give it to me – the flower crowns, the high waist shorts, the oversized cardigans and coats. And yes, give it to me – them flared pants!

I seriously love this kind of legwear, but objectively speaking, they are not very flattering for a girls figure, especially not for girls like me with wider hips. Thank god there’s one simple trick to create a slim figure anyway. With long cardigans, jackets and coats (in winter preferably several layers) you can easily conceal unflattering parts and due to oversized outerwear you still stay true to the hippie style. A pair of heeled booties cheekily peeking out from under the flares do the rest. And thanks to clear, geometric patterns – instead of the usual cheerful floral prints – the outfit turns into an urban bohemian look in a twinkling. 60’s but although modern. Casual but although chic: the perfect everyday outfit.

Im Gegensatz zum Sportswear- und Sneaker-Trend-Zug, auf den ich zwei Jahre verspätet aufgesprungen bin – bin ich beim Schlaghosen-Hype von Anfang voll dabei. Schliesslich bin ich im Herzen ein kleines 60er-Jahre-Hippie-Girl. Also, nur her mit den Blumenkränzen, den High-Waist-Shorts, den weiten Cardigans und Mänteln. Und ja bitte, her mit den Schlaghosen!

Ich liebe die Dinger ja wirklich, aber objektiv betrachtet, sind sie leider echt nicht besonders vorteilhaft, besonders nicht für Mädels mit breiten Hüften, wie die meinen. Gott sei dank ist der Trick, um trotzdem eine schlanke Silhouette zu schaffen, super easy. Mit langen Cardigans, Jäckchen und Mänteln (im Winter am liebsten gleich mehrere Lagen davon) könnt ihr die unvorteilhafte Stelle nämlich super kaschieren und bleibt mit oversized Teilen dem Hippie-Style trotzdem noch treu. Ein paar hohe Hacken, die frech unter dem Schlag hervor blitzen, machen den Rest. Und dank klaren, geometrischen Mustern – statt der typischen, verspielten Blumenprints – entsteht im Handumdrehen ein urbaner Bohomian-Look. 60er und doch modern – casual und doch chic: Der perfekte Alltagslook.
