Scrapyard

I wore this look to my sister’s birthday celebration at Scrapyard a few days ago. I got these pretty sequinned shorts from Romwe, and I knew it was the perfect statement piece to work my outfit around. You know me, anything sparkly- i like! I didn’t want to go over the top with the glitz though cause I still had to go to work, so I kept it minimal with an all black entourage and a cute metallic clutch. The result? A day to night look that was chic rather than sexy and appropriate rather than over the top!

The piece that brought my look to it’s day appropriate level was my oversized vest. I am in love with it! It brought just the right amount of coverage and structure to my look. This vest is one of those must have pieces that easily turn your ordinary outfit around! Plus, it comes with no sleeves, making it perfect for the tropical weather here in the Philippines. I already have this vest in white as well, and I can’t wait to show you the look I came up with using it! I say leave those bodycon skirts and dresses at home, and wear something new and exciting to your nights out instead! My piece du jour is: an oversized vest!

After work, I headed to Scrapyard (which I mentioned previously here) to attend my sister’s mini birthday bash. The place is just too interesting to keep to myself, so here’s a little tour of it. Look familiar? It’s similar to the Hotel (Henry formerly known as House of Cebu) where I celebrated my 23rd birthday! That’s because it’s located in the same building and decorated by the same designer- so you can tell that it’s really something unique and different. I felt like each place was an artwork in itself, and each angle was a perfect backdrop for one of my outfit shots! If you’re from Cebu or if you ever find yourself in my city, I’m totally recommending this chic place for a fun night out with friends!
