sisters

You guys! This was my very first shoot for my photography business! Yay! Very exciting. My site and new facebook page are a little bare right now, but you have to start somewhere, right? Excited to start filling both with lots of photos and features!

This family lives in our little town in the Metro Atlanta area. Two of the girls are in Cooper and Campbell's classes. I've seen them grow up over the years, so it was such a joy getting to photograph them! All four SISTERS. It's alway fascinating working out the dynamic of different families. Families are so different! And putting them into a situation where they might not feel completely comfortable, (like getting your photo taken!) you just never know how it's going to go. But this family was pure fun. The parents were totally chill (often it's the parents that set the tone for their kids! They were rock stars!) There wasn't one "firm" word that had to be said to these gals and I don't think there was a single sibling bicker. That is pretty amazing.

It's was so much fun watching what it's like to have so many girls... something I'm just not used to, being surrounded by boys! But this Dad was so super fun with his girls. And it's pretty obvious that they all adore him - and Mom! There was of course lots of brushing of hair (again, something I am not used to! We don't even blow dry our boys' hair. Ha!) and adjusting accessories. It was awesome. There is so much love in this family.

This photo below and the very first photo in this post are definitely my favorites from this shoot. Such beautiful girls.

All four of them had these doe eyes with the longest eyelashes I have EVER seen. When I was taking the girls' individual photos, they were SO working it. It was too funny. I tried to get them to do "serious" faces, too (not so much "CHEESE!"). The oldest had *the* hardest time keeping a straight face. I think that is a good problem to have. She was all smiles and giggles... I did manage to get a few though. ; )

The youngest, the only one that ended up with blue eyes, is CLEARLY adored and was a total character. All of them were. There was no lack of personality with these four!

Of course, they inherited great genes from Mom and Dad!

I've seen singing

"Sisters" from White Christmas in my head while typing this post. My favorite Christmas song ever! Can't wait to watch this again like we do every year.

I have another family shoot tomorrow that I'm so excited about! Photos to come!
