Easter Party Preparations

I wonder sometimes if everyone decorates their home for Easter. When my children were quite young, I didn't decorate, but I also feel as if that was the stage of my life when I was on auto-pilot because I had so many littles running around in diapers! (le sigh and le giggle)

A couple of years ago, a dear friends of mine, really, I would say she is my self-adopted mom . . as in I told her she needed to adopt me since I don't have a mother . . . and she is so awesome and we are like two peas in a pod . . . gave me this amazing potted tree branch. It is a Mananzita potted branch that her mother had once given to her and she decorated with her mom as a child. It is so special to me now I can't even tell you . She also gifted me with all her Easter decorations for this lovely tree.

I decorated the tree and my girls were so upset that I didn't let them help me. The decorations are so delicate, I don't truly trust them (I know, so terrible of me). The tree has been up for the past two weeks, bringing Easter joy into our home. Decorating is fun, and sharing what you've done with family and friends makes it all worthwhile. I need to remember this!

Yesterday was palm Sunday and the day was so lovely and we are all getting really excited for this week. The girls will be playing their violins during church on Sunday morning for two church services. Our entire family will help out with the Easter breakfast as well. We have a very busy week this week.

I hope you are all enjoying preparing your Easter celebration, and if you haven’t yet started… this week may be a good time to “hop to it.”
