5 Awesome Birthday Party Ideas for Kids Plus the Biggest Birthday Bash EVER!
I love throwing birthday parties! My mom always made birthdays special by planning creative birthday parties for me and my siblings. Now I love to continue that tradition with my kids! Each year I start surveying my kids a few months before their birthday to figure out their favorite theme. From there we chat about activities they want to do, favorite food, what type of cake they want, and we discuss the size of the party and who they want to invite.

When my kids are toddlers, we keep the parties pretty simple and mostly include just family or a friend or two. As kids get older and go to school and meet more friends, we expand the invite list.

It was SO easy and I wasn't stressed out for one second!
Did you know that if you reserve a VIP Party at Chuck E. Cheeses's, you get the whole party area to yourself before the restaurant opens, for 90 minutes?? How awesome!
AND the birthday star gets 1,000 tickets (for a limited time only)!!
For the ball carnival we played several ball themed games and activities!
- We had a ball room full of balls and buckets for kids to play with
- Kids played shooting two, made ball themed goodie bags, did slide bowling, colored on a ball-themed coloring wall, played pin the ball on the wall, and ate a lot of ball themed food!
The space themed party was a BLAST!
Our space party included...

- assembling rocket treat cups
- creating and eating fruit rockets
- mentos and diet soda explosions

In honor of its own birthday, Chuck E. Cheese’s is hosting a daily sweepstakes to celebrate 40 years of fun. In the 40 days leading up to the milestone on May 19, Chuck E. Cheese’s will grant unsuspecting fans a chance to win a free VIP birthday party experience. To enter, fans can upload an image of their receipt showing that they visited a Chuck E. Cheese’s between 4/10 and 5/19 for a chance to win the VIP party for up to 20 kids. Kids can also get 40 free tickets with a minimum purchase of $5.
