Garden Update – First sight of seedlings

It’s just over a week since we planted our garden plot – and yesterday I saw the first sign of the seeds that we planted! Our snap peas, onions, spinach, lettuce, and beets are starting to peek out of the soil.

This is usually the most exciting part of the garden season. Once things get in full swing the magic starts to wear off, but right now every new leaf has potential. I can almost taste the harvest!

I can hardly wait to see our snap peas, although I now realize that I’ll have to install some kind of trellis for them to start climbing on the weekend. So I’m going to hit up Pinterest for a little inspiration. I think I can rig something up with sticks and twine, but I am open to inspiration.
