Danish Flødeboller :: Magical Goodness + Video Guide To Eating & Pronouncing

If there is one thing that you absolutely HAVE to try when you come to Denmark, it is the flødeboller. Directly translated, it means “Cream Ball” but we like to think of it more as “Magical Goodness.” These treats do not fair well on airplanes or rocky boat rides, so we recommend indulging as much as possible while you are here.

Through this video, which got pretty out of hand by the end, we hope to share with you some of our favorite places to go to find the best flødeboller in Copenhagen, how to pronounce them and, most importantly, just how to eat them!

Flødeboller tend to make an appearance at birthday parties, school celebrations, and pretty much any day that requires a little magic. Our kids love the flødeboller launcher that is often brought to larger celebrations that catapults one chocolate covered delight at the participant who is suppose to catch it in his/her mouth. So, as you can imagine, any time these babies are around, things get pretty crazy!
